Jeremy Mohney and his Band
Using only sounds from the halcyon days, Jeremy Mohney and his Band are dedicated to preserving the original style of swing and jazz from the 1920s, 30s and 40s. Jeremy returns to Brandon Music with his blend of Hot Jazz and Swing after a spectacular performance last summer. The band's swinging beats take us back to a time when Americans began to create a new, modern, improvised beat to lift their hearts and move their feet. Jeremy borrows motifs from the greatest artists of this period such as Glenn Miller, Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, Django Reinhardt, and Benny Carter, but it's easy to recognize that he adds his own unique twist on it that makes it his own. Listening to his music, you will see how genuine his presentation of this elusive art form is and savor the fact that even after all these years, Swing hasn't gone anywhere. Tickets are $15. A pre-concert dinner is also available for $15. Reservations are required for dinner. Contact us at (802)465-4071 or via e-mail. Venue is BYOB.
