PossumHaw is a dynamic, original bluegrass and country-folk quintet from Burlington, Vermont. Since 2004, the band has evolved to combine award-winning, evocative songwriting and singing with top-notch bluegrass instrumentation. On Saturday, March 15th the quintet will perform songs from their new album, Waiting and Watching which the Addison County Independent calls "superb".

PossumHaw offers stellar vocal harmonies, original music, and impressive acoustic instrumentation. Seven Days' Robert Resnick says “PossumHaw deliver sterling arrangements that are polished to a shine.”

The group is made up of Colby Crehan on lead vocals, guitar, and piano; Stephen Waud, who also performs with the Modern Grass Quintet, on mandolin and vocals; Ryan Crehan on banjo, vocals and harmonica; Charley Eiseman on vocals and lead guitar and; Mitch Barron, who was a member of Bread and Bones before joining PossumHaw, on upright bass and vocals.

Colby Crehan was named Vermont Vocalist of the Year, and her song "Road to Mora" was named Vermont Song of the Year. In addition to PossumHaw, she also performs as lead singer with the Bluegrass Gospel Project with former members of Northern Lights and Breakaway. Art Edelstein at The Times-Argus says “Crehan is, in this writer's estimation, a shooting star in the world of bluegrass music…PossumHaw, with Colby Crehan starring, has now entered the top level of Green Mountain bluegrass bands.”

PossumHaw has produced four full-length albums. The band has appeared at the Champlain Valley Folk Festival, First Night Burlington, Higher Ground, the Long Trail Festival, and at venues throughout the Northeast.
